Located on Xinfen Road #40, Guancheng District, Dongguan City, adjacent to People’s Park, Dongguan Children’s Library was open in October, 2011, covering a floor space of over 9,000 square meters. It was originally known as the former Dongguan Library. Dongguan Children’s Library devotes to creating a reading place for juveniles to explore and seek knowledge, to communicate and share with others.

　Decorated with myth elements as well as the principle of people-reading friendly environment, the Library is divided into different parts, including Toy Library, Parent-child Paradise, Collections for Children Grow-up, Multimedia Center and Circulation Center. It provides toys, books, electronic information, parent-child reading and lectures and so on to patrons. At the same time, in order to emphasize the feature of “libraries in the Library”, it has set up a library for the old to show the traditional culture of “respect the old and cherish the young” and “the old and the young help each other”. There are also Self-Service Library, Cantonese Opera Library and Reading Service Station to meet patrons’ diverse needs. As the branch of Dongguan Library, Dongguan Children’s Library has created a convenient and rich reading life for patrons via the internet of the libraries. As long as a patron has a reader card, he/she can borrow books from the Libraries and return books to any of them. In addition, patrons can share resources of the libraries.
